Hi, My name is Allison. I am a freshman at Ball State. I am from Cincinnati Ohio. I have a twin named Michael. I am majoring in Social Work. Something interesting about me is that I have gone to Disney World more than 10 times in my life.

Allison enjoys writing. She likes writing on Facebook, but hates writing research papers. She also likes to write herself notes on post-its to help her remember things.

Reflective Writing
I just got finished with writing my memoir. I had to write for a college English paper. I think the process of the writing task was good. All the steps of the writing were clear. I established my purpose by asking myself “ Why am I writing about the Spring Musical. I had to remember all the people who experienced this moment with me. I had to remember what I experienced while being in the Spring Musical. I wanted to show my audience that you can do anything if you just put your mind into it. Yes I did talk to others about my ideas. My mom and I emailed each other. I would say some ideas and she would give feedback on them.

I planned the writing by first, thinking of different ideas that I could do. I did some sketch paragraphs to see how much I could think of for each topic. I planned during class and out of class. I had an event to write about. Though it still needs more details.

I drafted by having a zero draft, then a first draft. I did a little of invention and planning. I thought of ideas in my head and I had to think if i could talk about this event in 1000 or more words. I knew my topic had to interest my audience. I also knew that they should be able to figure out what the purpose of my paper is. So then thats how I planned before I started writing my draft.

I did get some feedback. I needed to have more dialogue and to have more developing scenes. I wanted to change some things that I had done. This is so my memoir would turn out better. I am always glad to get some feedback.

I put in dialogue and I had more developing scenes. I revised after I had completed my working draft.

My writing took great form. I had good paragraph form and I had good punctuation. My final draft was really good. I decided to put some pictures at the end of my memoir. Yes I did edit and proofread the final version.

I thought I went through the writing process smoothly. It helped to have the zero draft and first draft, before I did my final draft. It also helped when I got feedback. When I fixed the things that were mentioned , my memoir got even better. I would put more thought into my drafts. I would do more brainstorming for ideas. I would put more time into writing my memoir. Overall writing the memoir was fun and brought up good memories.

Statement of Purpose

That there is no Cardinal buses for Late Night on Saturday. I want to accomplish how important it is to have transportation when it is so late at night. I want to say how important it is to not walk back alone at night. It is not safe. How there should be some kind of transportation of some kind. I am writing to the President of Ball State. I want the reader's to respond by seeing how they should at least walk in groups. I want reader's to see how much we need to improve on transportation and safety at night.

MSH: Good topic.
